Why study and train at the U.S. Space Camp?
The U.S. Space Camp is the Official NASA Visitor Information Center and is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. Trainees will learn and practice with NASA’s rocket engineers that were first handed experience with the legendary Saturn V rocket and the current space program, the SLS. Many prominent individuals have attended Space Camp, including Elon Musk, the founder of Space X and co-founder of Tesla Motors. Five astronauts have graduated from Space Camp, including Dottie Metcalf Lindenberger and Samantha Cristoferritti, the world’s longest woman to stay in space.
