ABOUT THE SCAT EXAM (SCAT: Space Camp Aptitude Test)

  1. 100 multiple choices

  2. All in English

  3. Tests basic knowledge in space exploration in historical, current and future perspectives, dynamics, logics, physics, Newton’s theory and rocketry

  4. Is designed and cooperated under the supervision of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC).

Only twenty students with the highest SCAT score will be eligible to compete in the final round at the STEM Camp

SCHOLARSHIP

INTRODUCTION

The U.S. Space Camp’s Scholarship Program or the Discover Thailand’s Astronauts Scholarship Program is initiated by Krit Kunplin, USSRC’s Representative in Thailand and South East Asia and is supported by the U.S. Government under the supervision of the U.S. Embassy. Other private and public organizations i.e. Est Cola Scholarship are also involved.

 

In 2016, the Scholarship opens only for the Thai citizens and supports by U.S. Government for 2 scholarships and Est Cola for 1 scholarship.

 

In 2017, the U.S. Embassy supports 2 space exploration scholarships for one girl and one boy of Thai nationality within the ages between 14-18 years old. The winners of the American government’s scholarship will be automatically eligible for a full scholarship to study for an entire bachelor degree of any major at the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

Est Cola also supports one space exploration scholarship for person of any nationalities within the ages of 12-30 years old. 

All scholarships are non-binding.

REQUIRED

  1. Train at the U.S. Space Camp in the U.S. Army’s Red Stone Arsenal Military Base for 6 days

  2. Full scholarship to study at KMITL (only the winners of the U.S. Government’s grants)

  3. Special recommendation to study at MIT (only the winners of the U.S. Government’s grants)

  1. Round trip tickets from Bangkok to Huntsville, U.S.A.

  2. Transportation in the U.S.

  3. Meals in the U.S.

  4. VISA fees

  5. Health Examination by Bangkok Hospital

  6. Travel Insurance

  7. One flight suit

  1. Thai citizen

  2. Ages between 14-18 years old. 

  1. All applicants will have to take the SCAT Exam. No more than 20 applicants with the highest SCAT score will pass to the final round

  2. Compete at the STEM Camp. Only 3 scholarship winners will be announced on the last day at the STEM Camp.
