ACTIVITIES

ARE YOU READY TO BECOME NEXT GENERATION?

Robotics Academy is an exciting, five-night experience that will put the next generation of engineers, designers and gear heads to the ultimate test!

The program incorporates real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Middle school trainees learn what it’s like to engineer and design robotics on land, in the air and underwater. Trainees are immersed in teamwork and leadership skills in a simulated business environment where winning proposal teams design and build robots. The activities equip trainees with modern knowledge and prepare them to be future space and research leaders.

A DAY IN A LIFE

AT SPACE CAMP

ROBOTICS COMMAND AND CONQUER

FOR AGES 12-14

1

Program robots to interact with the world using a variety of
sensors and motors

2

Design and build a robotic chassis

3

Master maintaining satellite connections and managing
wireless signals in order to control and pilot robots on the
Challenge Table

4

Choose from optional lessons such as building robotic
attachments, programming with sensors and data functions,
or using both tactile and touch-less Human Interface Devices

5

Use the binary number system and basic logic functions to
understand how machines “think”

6

Remotely fly quadcopters

7

Design, build, and pilot underwater robots, using the
SeaPerch ROV system

 SPACE ACADEMY

FOR AGES 12-14

Launch on a complex simulated mission to the International Space Station or to the moon, build rockets and form new friendships.

 MACH II

FOR AGES 12-14

Fly head-to-head aviation simulations against another squadron, test your courage in our centrifuge and sharpen your leadership and teamwork skills during outdoor search and rescue missions.

 ROBOTICS COMMAND AND CONQUER

FOR AGES 12-14

Hone your skills in robot chassis design and building algorithms, remote control design and operations, and aerial drone simulations.
